Project Outline:
Part 1
Develop a product line for Magnolia's upcoming Spring/Summer 2025 season. Gather inspiration, with the client in mind, to curate a mood board to guide your creative process.
Using the inspiration you’ve selected, think of new product to develop that works well with the current product selection as seen on Magnolia’s website.
Your assigned category is: Table Top.
Using your chosen aesthetic for 2025, curate a table scape combining new product ideas you’ve developed, and pair them with products from the current catalogue.
Part 2
In addition to ideating new product, source new brands and items for the Magnolia Market Gift shop. Focusing on the client profile, make selections that would sell well to our target market.
Target Market: Magnolia's consumer are woman aged 27-45. This age group includes new home owners, entertainers, and family-oriented persons. Magnolia's primary audience is based in Texas and enjoys a charming, western-yet-modern flare to their in-home products.
Once sourced, create a pivot table organizing both the gift shop merchandise and the table top merchandise. Be sure to focus on important merchandising metrics and note the pricing strategies for each.
Finally, create a general marketing strategy to launch the new items to the public and organize this information into a presentation.
